A few faces from the sketchbook. If I can get it together I will try to post a little something everyday.

A demo I did for a class on combining traditional drawing with digital color. I will post the PDF document I made in the next few days.

What Faces Can't Tell You

An editorial illustration in response to Lisa Feldman Barrett’s Op-Ed “What Faces Can’t Tell Us” in the New York Times. There is a great illustration by Olympia Zagnoli to actually go with the article. Someday 🙂

The last class assignment. A portrait of Neil Gaiman. Not a perfect likeness but I think it matches the mood of his story telling.

Another older drawing revamped.

The Thing I Miss Most(Crop)

Long Dark Night

tree and butterflies

A few older drawings that were too large to scan before I found out about the wonders of Photoshop’s photomerge.

Another class assignment. The prompt was Richard Brody’s New Yorker review of the movie Gravity.

A drawing from my sketchbook.

Another class assignment. We were asked to illustrate an idiom of our choosing. I struggled with the watercolors on this one but try to make it a learning experience.
