A couple little watercolors for my mother’s birthday (yesterday). Happy Birthday Mom!! Your the best 🙂

A watercolor for my wonderful friend Yoshi. The characters are from an ongoing project of his called Dinosaur Coffee. Check out his blog.

As an experiment I printed a few copies of a book that contains some images from the Pecking Order paintings. I am thinking of doing an offset print run of these hand bound “zine” style booklets for promotional purposes. Printing in small quantities is not at all cost effective so I would have to use crowd funding  of some sort to get them printed. It might be an opportunity to print this and a sketchbook in the same print run. An ongoing project, keep an ear out for updates.

Bird Shapes Sailor

Happy holidays to everyone! I am planning on printing softcover books of my sketches in the next few months. I will be taking orders in the near future. All the best in the new year.

Two of many sketches for the next group of bird paintings commissioned from my show.

My first commission from my show. For a good friend who has chickens that hang out in her yard. It was fun to go check them out before starting on the piece. I tried to incorporate parts of each chicken into the final.

My show “Pecking Order” at Tara’s Organic Ice Cream was a huge success! I sold every piece in the exhibition! Thank you to everybody who came out for the opening reception and stopped by during the course of the show.

Another class assignment. We were asked to illustrate an idiom of our choosing. I struggled with the watercolors on this one but try to make it a learning experience.

I am having a small art show! The reception will be Friday,  August 2, 2013 6 – 10 pm. Bring your friends. Come eat Tara’s delicious organic ice cream and look at some quirky little paintings. If you cannot make the reception the show will be up from August 1 – September 4, 2013.

Hope to see you there!
